Total Control Services is seeking an experienced and motivated Electrician to join our expanding BMS Installation Team. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a diverse range of commercial, industrial, healthcare, education, and heritage projects across London and the South East.

As part of a skilled and growing installation team, you will play a key role in the installation of Building Management System (BMS) infrastructure, including containment systems, cabling, control panels, field devices, and associated electrical works. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, and commissioning teams to deliver high-quality installations on some of the region's most technically challenging and prestigious projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Installation of BMS control panels, field devices, and containment systems.
• Wiring and termination of control panels, sensors, actuators, valves, and BMS equipment.
• Reading and interpreting electrical drawings, schematics, and control wiring diagrams.
• Testing, fault finding and occasional commissioning support for BMS project teams.
• Ensuring all works are completed in accordance with industry regulations and company procedures.
• Working closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to deliver projects safely and efficiently.
• Completing all site documentation and reports accurately.

Requirements

• Qualified Electrician with relevant industry qualifications (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent).
• ECS/JIB Gold Card preferred.
• Experience working with Building Management Systems is preferable, but not essential.
• Good understanding of electrical installations and control wiring.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• IPAF and PASMA certifications would be advantageous.
• Proven experience installing electrical containment systems, including cable tray, cable basket, trunking, and conduit systems.
• Ability to accurately measure, fabricate and install containment to a high standard.
• Strong understanding of electrical installation best practices and compliance.
• Proven experience in the installation of a wide range of electrical cabling systems, including SWA (Steel Wire Armoured), FP (Fire Performance), screened, twisted pair, CAT5e/CAT6 and control cabling.
• Competent in the routing, dressing, glanding, terminating and testing of power and control cables.
• Experience terminating cables into control panels, BMS outstations, MCCs, field devices, sensors, actuators and associated equipment.
• Ability to carry out cable testing, continuity checks, and fault-finding.
• An understanding of segregation requirements for power, control, and communications cabling.
• A high standard of workmanship with excellent attention to detail and cable management.

Pay: £28,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
