BMS Operator (with NC2) - Urgent

About the role

OCS Philippines is seeking an experienced BMS Operator (with NC2) to join our team in Ortigas, Pasig City, Metro Manila. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in the operation and maintenance of Building Management Systems (BMS) and air conditioning and refrigeration infrastructure. As a BMS Operator, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance of climate control systems, monitoring equipment functionality, and responding to system alerts and maintenance requirements. This position is essential to maintaining the comfort and safety standards of our commercial facilities whilst ensuring energy efficiency and system reliability.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and operate Building Management Systems (BMS) to ensure optimal performance of HVAC and refrigeration equipment
• Conduct routine inspections and maintenance checks on air conditioning and refrigeration units in accordance with manufacturer specifications
• Respond promptly to system alerts, alarms, and maintenance requests, troubleshooting and resolving issues as required
• Record system performance data, maintenance activities, and any incidents in maintenance logs and reports
• Perform preventative maintenance tasks including filter replacement, refrigerant monitoring, and equipment calibration
• Collaborate with senior technicians and engineering teams to address complex system issues and implement solutions
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations in all operational activities
• Maintain accurate documentation of equipment inventory, spare parts, and maintenance schedules
• Respond to emergency situations involving HVAC or refrigeration system failures with appropriate corrective actions

What we're looking for

• National Certificate II (NC2) in Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (HVACR), DOMRAC, Electrical Installation Maintenance (EIM) or equivalent qualification

• Proven experience operating Building Management Systems and monitoring HVAC/refrigeration equipment

• Strong technical knowledge of air conditioning and refrigeration systems, including troubleshooting and basic repair procedures

• Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records and documentation

• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team environment

• Physical capability to perform maintenance tasks in various environmental conditions

• Reliability and commitment to safety protocols and procedures

• Experience with computerised maintenance management systems (CMMS) is advantageous

• Certification in emergency response procedures is preferred
