What they need

Some BCBAs reach a point where they know exactly what they would do differently if the decisions were theirs.

They are already holding the team together, earning the trust of families, mentoring RBTs, solving problems, and keeping care moving. They have the clinical experience and leadership skills. What they haven’t been given is a clear path to build a practice around their clinical vision.

Headstart Health helps experienced BCBAs launch and lead local in-home ABA practices throughout the Dallas area. You shape the clinical model, build the team, and decide how families will be served. We provide the payer access, business education, systems, and ongoing support that help turn that vision into a functioning practice.

Headstart is for BCBAs, by BCBAs. BCBAs lead every department here, and we have started, led, and scaled ABA companies ourselves. We are opening up the support we wish had existed when we started.

Build the ABA practice you wish existed, in the community you call home, without having to figure out every part alone.

Your Role

  • Provide evidence-based ABA services and develop individualized treatment plans.

  • Supervise and guide RBTs in delivering consistent, high-quality care.

  • Establish the clinical standards and culture of the practice.

  • Manage your caseload and schedule with flexibility and autonomy.

  • Build lasting relationships with families, referral partners, and your growing team.

  • Make decisions about how the practice grows and how care is delivered.

What You Bring

  • Active BCBA certification and Texas behavior analyst license.

  • At least two years of experience as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst.

  • Current residence in or near Dallas, Texas.

  • A commitment to delivering ethical, family-centered ABA services.

  • Experience mentoring RBTs, leading teams, or managing clinical programs.

  • A clear point of view about what ABA care should look like in your community.

  • The initiative to build and lead with an experienced team beside you.

What We Provide

Everything needed to launch and grow a practice without having to navigate every step alone.

  • Practice Launch Support: Guidance with LLC formation, credentialing, payer setup, financial preparation, and everything that must be ready before the first client begins.

  • Payer Access: Access to insurance contracts and support throughout the credentialing process.

  • Client Intake and Authorizations: Benefit verification, documentation collection, family communication, authorizations, and ongoing authorization management.

  • Billing Support: Claims submission, payment posting, denials, accounts receivable, family invoicing, and visibility into billing activity.

  • RBT Recruiting: Candidate sourcing, first-round interviews, and support building a dependable local team.

  • Software and Systems: Tools for data collection, scheduling, authorizations, family communication, utilization, and business visibility.

  • Growth Support: Brand positioning, digital marketing, local referral development, and practical client-acquisition strategy.

  • Education and Mentorship: ABA Business Bootcamp, ongoing guidance, CEUs, peer roundtables, and access to BCBAs who have built practices before.

  • Financial Backing: Access to recruiting incentives and eligible cash-flow support as the practice grows.

And honestly, so much more. This isn’t a checklist followed by “good luck.” We stay beside the BCBA as the questions change and the practice grows.

Why Headstart?

We believe BCBAs should be able to shape the standard of care they want to create.

The strongest clinical leaders are already building teams, earning family trust, solving operational problems, and helping ABA companies succeed. Headstart gives them the infrastructure and guidance to put that experience toward a practice that reflects their values and serves their local community.

You bring the clinical vision, leadership, and determination. We help put the business pieces in the right order.
