BCBA — ChoicePoint Autism Therapy (South Loop)

*Clinician Owned ABA Clinic Looking for our FIRST Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)

ChoicePoint Autism Therapy is a clinician-owned ABA practice in Chicago's South Loop, and we're hiring a BCBA who wants to practice the way this field was supposed to work. Dr. Carly Lapin, BCBA-D, built ChoicePoint after years of watching investors make clinical calls that should have belonged to clinicians. Every decision here, from protocols to staffing to programming and more, still comes from someone who has sat in the room with a child.

You'd be our first BCBA

ChoicePoint is a startup, and this is a ground-floor role. You would be the first BCBA hire working alongside our VP of Clinical Services, which means you're not stepping into a model that's already been built — you're helping build it. The systems, the caseload structure, the way we grow this clinic: you'd have a real hand in shaping it, not just executing someone else's version. For the right person, the room to grow here is wide open.

What clinician-owned means for you

You won't be handed a caseload and a corporate script. You'll write real programs, run real supervision, and be trusted to make clinical judgment calls without a non-clinical layer second-guessing them. Progress over profit isn't a tagline here; it shapes what you're allowed to spend your session time on.

Full-day and half-day programming, for kids who need it

ChoicePoint was built specifically to serve children with Level 2 and Level 3 autism diagnoses — the kids who often get turned away or under-served elsewhere. Our clinic runs full-day and half-day programming, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, for children ages 2 to 10. Small pods, 1:1 therapy, sensory gym, circle time, pretend play — a real daily structure built around clinical goals, not a patchwork of hourly sessions.

What you'll do

  • Design and oversee individualized ABA programs for a caseload of Level 2/3 learners
  • Supervise and train RBTs directly on your cases
  • Run parent training and stay closely connected with families
  • Work closely with our VP of Clinical Services to help build out programming, supervision structures, and clinic systems from the ground up
  • Practice neurodiversity-affirming, child-led ABA, with the clinical depth to back it up

What you bring

  • BCBA certification in good standing
  • Experience with more significantly impacted learners (Level 2/3)
  • Comfort working inside a full-day, intensive program model
  • A startup mindset — someone energized by building something, not just running an existing playbook
  • A genuine belief that ethical ABA and neurodiversity-affirming care are the same thing, practiced with rigor

Start date: December 2026. We're hiring early to give candidates time to get credentialed with insurance and provide sufficient notice to a current employer. We already have families waiting for services to begin — December will be spent conducting initial intakes, with our first cohort of clients starting in January.

Compensation & benefits: $80,000–$95,000, commensurate with experience, plus medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k), paid time off, and a CEU stipend.

Location: 800 S. Wells, Chicago (South Loop) — riverfront clinic, sensory-specialist-designed space.
