What they need
Help autistic teens and young adults build lives that feel meaningful.
At Building Bridges Behavioral Services, we believe our differences can be leveraged for good. We help autistic adolescents and young adults recognize their strengths, build practical skills, and create meaningful, independent, and fulfilling lives.
We’re looking for a compassionate, creative Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to join our growing team. You’ll primarily support autistic teens and young adults with Level 1 and Level 2 support needs in an engaging, highly social clinic environment.
Our programming goes beyond the therapy room. Clients develop skills related to friendship, communication, emotional well-being, self-advocacy, education, employment, community participation, and independent living. The goal is not to change who someone is—it’s to help each person gain the skills, confidence, and support needed to pursue the life they want.
What makes Building Bridges different
Our work focuses on the real situations adolescents and young adults encounter every day. Services take place through individual sessions, small social groups, community outings, and naturally occurring opportunities to practice new skills.
Our clinic’s primary focus is not intensive treatment for dangerous or severe behavior. Instead, we specialize in areas such as:
- Social communication and relationship building
- Emotional awareness and regulation
- Executive functioning
- Psychological flexibility
- Self-advocacy and self-determination
- Vocational readiness
- Community participation
- Independent living skills
Our clinical model combines evidence-based ABA practices with Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), DNA-V, social-emotional learning, and psychological flexibility training. Experience with these approaches is a plus, but it is not required. We provide in-house training, mentorship, and paid continuing education to help you grow your skills and confidence.
What you’ll do
As a BCBA, you’ll be actively involved in treatment while having the autonomy to create thoughtful, individualized programs. Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing and overseeing individualized ABA programs in clinic and community settings
- Conducting assessments and creating practical, person-centered treatment plans
- Providing direct clinical support when appropriate
- Supervising and mentoring Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs)
- Supporting aspiring RBTs and fieldwork candidates through collaborative, growth-focused supervision
- Reviewing session notes and treatment data to monitor progress and treatment quality
- Partnering with clients and caregivers to establish meaningful goals
- Providing caregiver training and ongoing family support
- Leading team meetings and collaborating with staff, families, and other professionals
- Managing your recurring weekly schedule and caseload
- Participating in—and potentially helping lead—social groups and community-based programming
- Providing supervision in accordance with BACB requirements and applicable state regulations
- Contributing ideas as we expand and strengthen our services
Schedule and setting
Most services take place in our clinic, with additional opportunities to participate in community programming and outings.
Our primary operating hours are Tuesday through Saturday, from 12:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Because many clients attend school during the day, most direct services occur in the afternoons and evenings.
A typical BCBA schedule includes a thoughtful mix of:
- Direct client support
- RBT supervision and mentorship
- Treatment planning
- Caregiver collaboration
- Data and documentation review
- Social groups and community programming
Who we’re looking for
You may be a great fit if you enjoy hands-on clinical work, meaningful relationship building, and helping young people prepare for adulthood. We’re especially interested in clinicians who bring curiosity, warmth, creativity, and respect for neurodiversity to their work.
Required qualifications
- Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Education, or a related field
- Current BCBA certification through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board
- Current or eligible state licensure, as applicable
- Experience with—or a strong interest in supporting—autistic adolescents and adults
- Strong communication, leadership, and collaboration skills
- Ability to independently manage scheduling, documentation, and clinical responsibilities
- Commitment to ethical, compassionate, and socially meaningful care
Grow with us
This is an excellent opportunity for a BCBA who values clinical autonomy, enjoys developing creative programming, and wants to make a lasting difference for a population that is often underserved by traditional ABA services.
As Building Bridges continues to grow, opportunities may become available in leadership, mentorship, program development, training, and clinical specialization.
If you’re excited to help autistic teens and young adults build confidence, strengthen relationships, and move toward personally meaningful goals, we’d love to hear from you.
