What they need
About Roots:
Roots is a BCBA-owned and operated ABA therapy practice committed to ethical, compassionate, client-centered care. We practice an assent-based model, meaning we prioritize each child's willingness and comfort throughout every session — therapy is done with our clients, not to them. As a BCBA-owned company, clinical integrity and ethical practice guide every decision we make, from case design to company policy.
Job Summary:
Roots is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to join our growing team. The ideal candidate is passionate about delivering high-quality, assent-based ABA services to children and families. This role involves conducting assessments, designing individualized treatment plans, supervising RBTs/behavior technicians, and collaborating closely with families to ensure care is both clinically sound and respectful of each client's autonomy and comfort.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct initial and ongoing assessments (e.g., FBAs, skill assessments) to develop individualized, assent-based treatment plans
- Design, implement, and monitor behavior intervention plans grounded in compassionate, client-led methodology
- Provide regular supervision, training, and mentorship to RBTs and behavior technicians
- Communicate regularly with parents/caregivers regarding progress and treatment goals
- Ensure all documentation, session notes, and progress reports meet regulatory and payer standards
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (SLPs, OTs, educators) as needed for holistic client care
- Uphold Roots' ethical standards and assent-based philosophy in all clinical work
Qualifications:
- Current BCBA certification in good standing (BACB)
- Master's degree in ABA, psychology, education, or related field
- Experience with assent-based or trauma-informed ABA practices preferred
- Strong communication, leadership, and supervisory skills
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (if applicable for in-home/community services)
What We Offer:
- Supportive, BCBA-owned environment where clinicians lead clinical decisions
- Manageable caseloads focused on quality over volume
- Ongoing professional development and CEU opportunities
- Competitive compensation and benefits
- A collaborative, mission-driven team culture
Pay: $65.00 - $75.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15.0 – 20.0 per week
Benefits:
- Continuing education credits
- Flexible schedule
Work Location: In person
