Board Level Test Engineer

Pay Rate: $45.00/hr to $50.00/hr

Location: Santa Clara, CA

Duration: 12 Months (Chances of extension)

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out initial hardware checks, diagnosis, and troubleshooting for PC and server platforms.

• Create and deploy diagnostic tools and scripts to assist with early hardware testing, validation and fault isolation.

• Investigate and address system setup problems and test failures through a systematic troubleshooting approach.

• Develop, enhance, and support test automation scripts using Python and Shell.

• Perform hands-on work with motherboards and GPU platforms in laboratory environments.

• Work with systems connected by networking protcols, like Ethernet and NVLink.

• Operate in Windows and Linux operating systems for test and debug.

• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to assist with hardware diagnostics, validation, and seamless product transitions.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent field.

• Strong programming and scripting abilities in Python and Shell.

• Familiarity with Windows and Linux operating systems

• Practical knowledge of hardware communication protocols, including Ethernet, InfiniBand, PCIe, USB, HDMI, I2C, and SPI.

• Experience working with CPUs and GPUs.

• Proficiency in operating test equipment for hardware diagnostics and validation.

• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.

• Experience with Linux and scripting is highly preferred.
