Boat Portage Site Supervisor

Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and responsible Boat Portage Site Supervisor to lead and oversee all operations at our boat portage facility. This vital role involves managing the safe and efficient transfer of boats between water and land, supervising staff, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, and providing exceptional customer service. Duties

• Supervise daily portage operations, ensuring boats are moved safely and efficiently according to established procedures
• Lead and coordinate a team of portage staff, providing training, guidance, and performance feedback
• Implement safety protocols including first aid procedures and emergency response plans to ensure team and customer safety
• Manage scheduling, staffing assignments, and resource allocation to meet operational demands
• Conduct regular site inspections to maintain equipment integrity, cleanliness, and compliance with safety standards
• Provide exceptional customer service by assisting boat owners with their needs while maintaining a positive attitude

Experience

• Proven experience in outdoor work environments, outdoor recreation or boating operations
• Strong background in team leadership and supervision within a fast-paced setting
• Experience working with children or youth programs, including classroom management or camp experience
• Knowledge of childhood development principles and behavior management strategies

Pay: $22.28 - $64.67 per hour
