Boat Washer

POSITION SUMMARY

The Boat Washer is responsible for the thorough cleaning boats to ensure they are presented in pristine condition. This role involves both interior and exterior cleaning tasks, attention to detail, and a commitment to providing high-quality service. The ideal candidate will be reliable, efficient, and possess a strong work ethic.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Duties (Most Important to Least Important)
• Exterior Cleaning: Wash and clean the exterior surfaces of boats, including hulls, decks, and trim. Use appropriate cleaning agents and equipment to remove dirt, grime, and marine growth.
• Interior Cleaning: Vacuum, wipe down, and sanitize interior areas such as seating, carpets, and storage compartments. Ensure all interior surfaces are spotless and free from stains or debris.
• Inspection: Conduct thorough inspections of boats before and after washing to identify any issues or damage that may need attention.
• Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and clean all washing equipment and supplies. Report any equipment malfunctions or needs to the supervisor
• Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service by addressing any specific cleaning requests or concerns from boat owners.
• Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations. Use cleaning products and equipment safely and responsibly.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with other team members to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality results.

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS

• Prior experience in a similar role or in the marine industry is preferred but not required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods
• Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers
• Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another
• Operating motor vehicle, Occasionally, candidate may require to have a Clean Motor Vehicle report
• Communicating with others to exchange information
• Assessing the accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of the work assigned

• Eye/Hand/Foot Coordination
• Medium work that includes moving objects up to 50 pounds

WORK ENVIRONMENT
