BOAT YARD HELP WANTED

Clark Boat Yard & Marine Works is a full-service, family-owned and operated boat yard in Jamestown, Rhode Island. We provide hauling, launching, storage, maintenance, upgrades, and repairs for both sailboats and powerboats.

We are currently looking for a dependable and motivated person to join our boat yard crew.

The ideal candidate is honest, reliable, comfortable working independently, and willing to pitch in wherever needed. Because we are a small, hands-on yard, teamwork and a strong work ethic are important. Experience in the marine industry is preferred, but we are also interested in candidates with strong mechanical skills and a willingness to learn.

Typical yard duties may include:

• Inboard and outboard engine winterization
• Gasoline and diesel engine winterization
• Boat systems winterization and seasonal maintenance
• Mast stepping and unstepping
• Hauling and launching boats
• Shrink wrapping
• Spring commissioning and preparation
• General boat yard work and maintenance

Our busiest seasons are fall hauling and spring launching. We can offer some scheduling flexibility for the right candidate and are also open to applicants who prefer to take time off during the quieter winter months between the fall haul-out and spring launch seasons.
