Bobst style die cutter operator

Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated Bobst style die cutter operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining Bobst-style die cutting machinery to produce high-quality packaging and printed materials. Your expertise will ensure that production runs smoothly, efficiently, and safely, adhering to all quality standards and safety protocols. Responsibilities

• Operate Bobst-style die cutting machines with precision, ensuring accurate cuts according to production specifications and job orders
• Interpret complex production documents, including job tickets and technical drawings, to set up and adjust machinery accordingly
• Conduct routine mechanical troubleshooting and adjustments to optimize machine performance and minimize downtime
• Perform dimensional measurements and quality inspections throughout the production process to meet strict quality standards in manufacturing
• Handle manual tasks such as paper loading, stacking, and packaging while maintaining safety protocol adherence
• Utilize forklifts and other industrial equipment safely for material handling, storage, and movement of raw materials and finished products
• Collaborate with prepress teams to ensure proper die alignment, machine setup, and material preparation for each job

Experience

• Proven experience operating converting machines or similar industrial manufacturing equipment, preferably within a packaging or printing environment
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues quickly and effectively
• Familiarity with safety standards in production environments, including proper use of safety gear and adherence to safety protocols
• Basic math skills for measurements, calculations related to machine settings, and quality control checks
• Knowledge of flexo presses, machining processes, and industrial equipment adjustment techniques is highly desirable
• Experience working with quality standards in manufacturing environments to ensure consistent product excellence
• Ability to interpret technical documents accurately and follow detailed instructions for machine setup and operation

Pay: $26.35 - $31.74 per hour
