Body-Shopped Building Services Engineer (BSE)

We are now inviting applications for the above position. Successful candidate will be seconded to the Hong Kong Housing Authority.

Key responsibilities

• Improvement and maintenance of existing building services installations in buildings under the Housing Authority's purview
• Managing consultants and administering contracts
• Supervising the work of supporting technical and site staff
• Performing property management and landlord duties for Housing Authority's properties
• Leading a multi-disciplinary team to monitor and facilitate Property Services Agents in their delivery of management and maintenance services for Public Rental Housing
• Carrying out audit control, surprise field inspections and checks and assessing services standard of Property Services Agents
• Handling the issues of Property Services Contract and Building Services / Building Works Contracts
• Performing any other associated duties as required

Qualifications and Experience:

• Corporate Member of Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (Building Services, Electrical or Mechanical Division) elected after 5.12.1975 or Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers and is registered as Chartered Engineer with Engineering Council of UK or Institution of Mechanical Engineers and is registered as Chartered Engineer with the Engineering Council of UK or The Institution of Engineering and Technology and is registered as Chartered Engineer with the Engineering Council of UK; or equivalent;
• Possess a Registered Electrical Worker License
• Have satisfied the qualification of Level 2 or above in Chinese Language and English Language in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (“Grade E” in Chinese Language and English Language (Syllabus B) in HKCEE held before 2007 are accepted administratively as comparable to “Level 2” in Chinese Language and English Language) or equivalent.
• Minimum of one-year relevant post-qualification experience
• Well versed in Microsoft WORD, EXCEL AND POWERPOINT

Salary will commensurate with relevant post-qualification working experiences.
