What they need
Description:
Performs collision/body repairs and refinishing on commercial vehicles to restore structural integrity, safety, and appearance.
Key Responsibilities
- Repair/replace damaged panels, fiberglass, frames, and structural components per OEM procedures and estimates.
- Prep surfaces, mix materials, and apply finishes using proper equipment and safety controls (painter roles).
- Operate welders, grinders, sanders, spray equipment, and other shop tools safely.
- Maintain quality standards; document work performed and communicate needs to estimator/parts.
- Follow hazardous material handling, PPE, and booth safety requirements.
Requirements:
Requirements
- 2+ years body repair or paint experience preferred; heavy-duty collision a plus.
- Ability to read repair plans/estimates and meet quality/cycle time expectations.
- Ability to lift, bend, stand, and work with tools for extended periods (role dependent).
