Bodyshop Technician – Fix Auto Yeovil
£45,000–£50,000 per annum | Full Time | 42.5 Hours Per Week

Fix Auto Yeovil is looking for an experienced Bodyshop Technician with proven strip and fit and panel repair skills to join our accident repair centre team. Fix Auto is a leading independent accident repair network, trusted by insurers, manufacturers and drivers across the UK. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled technician looking for a well-rewarded role within a professional, established bodyshop environment.

What you’ll be doing:

• Carrying out strip and fit work on damaged vehicles in line with job card instructions and manufacturer repair methods
• Carrying out structural and non-structural panel repair, including use of body pulling equipment, jigs and welding equipment where required
• Checking parts against the job card during strip and reporting any additional parts or damage to the Workshop Controller
• Completing quality check sheets at each stage of the repair process
• Working closely with colleagues across all disciplines to maintain smooth workflow through the bodyshop
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised work area at all times

What we’re looking for:

• Proven, hands-on experience in both strip and fit and panel beating and body repair
• Ability to produce consistently high-quality work in a busy workshop environment
• Strong understanding of manufacturer repair methods and BS10125 repair standards
• Ability to interpret repair methods, technical data and bodyshop job cards
• High attention to detail and a commitment to right-first-time repairs
• Full, clean UK driving licence
• Your own tool set

Desirable:

• Full MET (mechanical, electrical and trim) experience
• Vehicle refinishing experience
• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in a relevant bodyshop discipline
• ATA / IMI accreditation in any relevant discipline, or actively working towards it
• EV/HEV component removal and replacement qualification
• Experience working within a BS10125-accredited or insurance-approved repair centre
