BOI Officer

About the role

This role involves managing Board of Investment (BOI) programs and incentives related to solar energy installations, including tax exemptions, import duty reductions, and grant programs. You will assess client project eligibility for BOI benefits, prepare and submit applications, maintain liaison with BOI representatives, and communicate incentive details to clients.

Key responsibilities

• Stay updated on the latest BOI programs and incentives related to solar energy installations, including tax exemptions, import duty reductions, and grant programs

• Analyze potential client projects to determine eligibility for BOI benefits based on program requirements

• Compile and submit complete BOI applications for clients, ensuring all necessary documentation and technical details are included

• Maintain communication with BOI representatives to address inquiries, track application progress, and resolve any issues

• Clearly explain BOI incentives and their potential benefits to clients

• Maintain accurate records of client projects, applications, and BOI approvals

• Continuously research and stay updated on changes to BOI programs and regulations

• Ensure safety is the priority at all work activities and strictly follow all HSSE requirements

• Supervise and follow up to correct unsafe conditions and actions for safety in the work of employees as reported or as recommended by HSSE officer and/or HSSE committee

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Political Science or a related field

• Minimum 3-5 years experience in BOI for renewable energy.

• Strong understanding of government incentive programs, particularly those related to renewable energy

• Excellent research and analytical skills

• Experience working with technical data and documents

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills

• Familiarity with the solar energy industry is a plus

• Good command in English, both writing and speaking
