Boiler Supervisor

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible to the Plant Engineer for the operation and proper manipulation of boiler equipment and its auxiliaries; the maintenance of water quality and quantity according to production requirements; the coordination & direction of personnel assigned in the section; and assists in the formulation and establishment of work methods and standards for improvement of work quality and services. Also, responsible for the maintenance of shelling machines to ensure that they are in good physical & running condition.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Conducts regular inspection of the section’s equipment & auxiliaries to ensure that these are in good running condition. Report malfunction or breakdowns for necessary adjustment or repair.

2. Closely supervises the operation of the water softener to ensure as soft water supply that goes to the feed water tank. Directs the boiler operator in the analysis of the filtration process of water samples from reservoir tank.

3. Monitor the exact dosage of water chemical treatment in the Boiler. Based upon the findings, initiates blowdown of the boiler water and the replacement of quantity blowdown by water coming from feed water tank.

4. Regularly checks the feeding of coco shell to the furnace to ensure a continuous firing in the boiler furnace. Directs the boiler operator regarding adjustments of the damper to maintain an efficient combustion.

5. Coordinates with Production Dept. regarding the availability of coco shell supply.

6. Supervises the chlorination of water supply to maintain the desired residual chlorine(ppm) for plant consumption.

7. Prepares daily accomplishment report and submits to the Plant Engineer to inform him of the section’s daily activities, the status of equipment, their malfunction, and the remedies done to this effect.

8. Performs administrative function as to attendance checking, performance evaluation, disciplinary action, scheduling of activities.

9. Coordinates with the Plant Engineer or other department/section as may be necessary, regarding the implementation of new testing procedure and methods to improve work quality service.

10. Prepares cost estimates, supervises engineering projects as assigned by immediate superior.

11. Conducts routinary check-up on shelling machine to ensure that they are in good physical running condition.

12. Checks fabrication & repair of shelling machine to ensure that these are properly done.

13. Review, analyze & interpret reports of subordinates regarding activities done.

14. Handles requisition of materials needed in the construction, repair, fabrication of Plant equipment and facilities.

15. Performs other duties that may be assigned by superior from time to time.

Pay: Php25,000.00 - Php35,000.00 per month
