Boiler Technician

We are seeking an experienced and reliable Boiler Mechanic to join our service team. This position is responsible for the maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, and installation of commercial and residential boilers throughout NYC. The ideal candidate has a strong background in boiler systems, is familiar with NYC codes and regulations, and is comfortable working independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

• Inspect, maintain, and repair low- and high-pressure steam and hot water boiler systems.
• Perform diagnostics on malfunctioning systems and replace defective components.
• Conduct regular preventive maintenance, cleaning, and tune-ups.
• Install new boiler systems and related components including burners, pumps, valves, and controls.
• Electrical experience
• EPA certified/OSHA certified
• Test boiler water and add treatment chemicals as needed.
• Ensure compliance with local NYC codes, DOB (Department of Buildings), and DEP (Department of Environmental Protection) regulations.
• Complete service reports, timesheets, and documentation accurately and timely, know how to reads schematics
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, office staff, and customers.
• Participate in emergency/on-call rotations and respond to after-hours service calls as required.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with boilers (gas, oil, steam, and hot water systems).
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to work in various environments, including rooftops, mechanical rooms, and basements.
• Strong knowledge of NYC mechanical and plumbing codes.
• EPA certification preferred.
• FDNY certificates of fitness (such as G-60, F-60, or P-99) a strong plus.
• Excellent problem-solving and time-management skills.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

Salary: $26.00 - $45.00 per hour
