We are a privately owned, family-operated manufacturer of premium steel and aluminium road transport equipment based at the Port of Brisbane.

With over 40 years of industry experience, we've built a reputation for quality workmanship, innovation and reliability. As our business continues to grow, we're looking for an experienced Steel Boilermaker / Fabricator to join our team.

Working within our production team, you'll be involved in the fabrication and welding of heavy transport trailer chassis and structural components in a modern manufacturing facility alongside a skilled and supportive team.

About the Role

As part of our steel fabrication team, your responsibilities will include:

• Fabricating and assembling heavy steel trailer chassis and components
• MIG welding of structural steel components
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
• Measuring, marking out, cutting and fitting steel components
• Grinding, finishing and preparing welds
• Conducting quality checks to ensure work meets company standards
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised work area
• Working collaboratively with supervisors and team members to achieve production targets

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade (or equivalent)
• Proven experience in steel fabrication
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Strong fabrication, measuring and fitting skills
• High attention to detail and pride in producing quality work
• Strong commitment to workplace safety
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Current driver's licence

Highly Regarded

While not essential, experience in the following will be advantageous:

• Heavy vehicle or trailer manufacturing
• Structural steel fabrication
• Fabrication jigs and fixtures
• Forklift licence
• Overhead crane experience
• Manufacturing or heavy engineering environment
