About the role

We are seeking an experienced Boilermaker to join our team on a full-time basis at our Emu Plains facility in NSW. This is a pivotal role within our operations, where you will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and maintaining boilers, pressure vessels, and other metal structures. As a Boilermaker, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality, safety, and integrity of our products, whilst contributing to the continued success and reputation of Tetris Group.

Key responsibilities

• Fabricate, assemble, and erect boilers, pressure vessels, tanks, and associated metal structures in accordance with specifications and drawings
• Perform welding operations using various welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, and stick welding, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and codes
• Conduct inspections and quality checks on completed work to ensure structural integrity and adherence to safety regulations
• Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine fabrication and assembly requirements
• Operate hand and power tools and equipment, including cutting, bending, and shaping machinery
• Maintain accurate records of work completed, materials used, and any defects or issues identified
• Collaborate with team members, supervisors, and other trades to ensure efficient project delivery
• Adhere to all health and safety protocols, risk management procedures, and workplace policies
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and tools to ensure optimal operational performance

What we're looking for

• Trade qualification or equivalent experience as a Boilermaker with a minimum of 3 years' practical experience in the field
• Current welding certifications relevant to the role, such as AWS or equivalent body certification
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications
• Demonstrated expertise in various welding techniques and metal fabrication processes
• Strong understanding of Australian safety standards, including AS/NZS 1210 (Unfired pressure equipment) and relevant WorkCover requirements
• Ability to work independently whilst also collaborating effectively as part of a team
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Physical fitness and ability to work in varied weather conditions and at heights where required
• Valid driver's licence is preferred
• Current Working with Children Check or willingness to obtain one is advantageous
