Boilermaker – FIFO Mining

We are seeking an experienced Boilermaker to join our maintenance team and support the safe and reliable operation of mobile plant, fixed plant and structural equipment across site.

This is a hands-on role suited to a skilled tradesperson who takes pride in quality workmanship, equipment integrity and working safely in a fast-paced mining environment.

About the Role

As a Boilermaker, you will be responsible for:

• Fabrication, welding, repairs and preventative maintenance on mobile and fixed plant
• Structural repairs, modifications and maintenance
• Cutting, grinding, gouging, welding and fabrication
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications
• Supporting planned shutdowns and breakdown maintenance
• Inspecting equipment for cracks, wear, defects and potential failure points
• Completing work orders, maintenance records and inspection documentation
• Working closely with Supervisors, trades and Operations teams to minimise downtime
• Maintaining a high standard of safety, quality and workmanship

About You

To be successful, you will have:

• Trade qualification in Engineering – Fabrication (Boilermaker) or equivalent
• Demonstrated experience in welding, fabrication and structural repairs
• Experience within mining, construction or heavy industry
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Strong knowledge of welding and fabrication techniques
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Strong safety awareness and hazard identification skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a maintenance team
• Current Australian Driver’s Licence
• Valid working rights in Australia
• Ability to pass a site medical and drug & alcohol screening

Previous FIFO mining experience is highly regarded.

Experience with wear plate replacement, bucket repairs and mobile/fixed plant maintenance will be highly regarded.

Desirable

• High Risk Work Licence – Forklift, Dogging, Rigging or EWP
• First Aid Certificate
• Welding certifications or additional trade competencies
• National Police Clearance
• Previous shutdown and major maintenance experience
