About the Opportunity

Based in Henderson the Boilermakers / Welders will be responsible for delivering high-quality welding and fabrication outcomes on time, in full and to standard, while actively contributing to continuous improvement across the workshop.

This position supports a safe, tidy and productive work environment, ensuring both personal and team safety at all times.

Due to consistent project demand and ongoing workflow, we have regular monthly recruitment cycles, offering stable, continuous opportunities for skilled Boilermakers / Welders to join our growing team.

What's Involved

• Construct primary structures such as frames, keels, girders, and deck beams for vessels.
• Construct secondary structures such as walkways, handrails, equipment brackets and bases.
• Read and understand technical documents and workshop drawings.
• Adhere to the Austal Safety and Quality standards.
• Maintain a clean, tidy, and productive work environment.

You'll Need

The successful applicant will be a trade qualified Fabricator/Boilermaker/Sheet Metalworker or Vehicle Body Builder who has:

• Experience in aluminium and/or steel fabrication or MIG welding
• Construction White Card
• A positive and professional work ethic, taking pride in finished work
• Be physically fit and comfortable working in confined spaces, as well as at heights.
