Boilermaker - Workshop & Some Away Work

Position Overview

• Welding tasks in the Production Facility on brand new equipment being fitted out.
• Crack repairs, including correct preparation of damaged areas for welding repairs to be carried out.
• Welding of high-grade steels (training provided).
• Reading plans and blue-prints.
• Assisting others in the workshop when required.
• Workshop ‘All-rounder’ assisting others, moving equipment, forklift operation etc. when required.
• The ability to travel for away jobs from time-to-time.
• Interact with customers on-site in a confident and professional manner when required.

Candidate Requirements

• Cert III Heavy Fabrication/Boilermaker/Welder or equivalent.
• Experience and ability welding high-grade steels highly regarded but not essential.
• Knowledge and experience conducting crack repairs on machinery booms, highly regarded but not essential.
• An honest worker with a good work ethic, essential.
• Happy to help other workshop jobs when required.
• A helpful attitude and the ability to move from job-to-job.
• Drivers license, HR highly regarded.
• The ability and willingness to travel within the state and beyond at times for work.
• Australian Citizen or PR Essential.

On Offer

On offer is an excellent Boilermaker position with a quality Heavy Equipment OEM who'll develop you and look after you in the long-term and pay you well in the short term. On offer are starting rates of $50-$55per hour plus over-time at penalty rates, super and training, PPE. Plenty of opportunity to boost the earning with overtime and some away work.
