Boilerman Grade 2

Key Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, and control high-pressure boilers used in manufacturing operations
• Ensure continuous steam supply as per production requirements
• Perform boiler start-up, shutdown, and load adjustments
• Monitor pressure, temperature, water level, fuel consumption, and emissions
• Carry out routine inspections and preventive maintenance of boilers and auxiliaries
• Ensure proper water treatment, blowdown, and fuel handling practices
• Maintain daily logbooks, shift records, and statutory compliance documents
• Detect faults, troubleshoot operational issues, and take corrective actions
• Coordinate with maintenance and production teams to minimize downtime
• Ensure compliance with Factory Act, Boiler Act, and safety standards
• Supervise and guide junior boilermen or operators, if required

Qualifications & Experience

• Mandatory: Boilerman / Boiler Attendant Grade 2 Certificate from a competent authority
• Education: ITI / Diploma in Mechanical or equivalent (preferred)
• Experience: 3+ years of experience operating high-pressure boilers in a manufacturing plant

• Strong understanding of boiler operation and safety systems
• Knowledge of water treatment and steam distribution systems
• Familiarity with manufacturing utility requirements
• Basic maintenance and troubleshooting skills
