Awhi Rōpū Consultants is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper / Accountant to provide hands-on financial support to a diverse portfolio of clients.

Ko wai tātou | Job Overview

You will work directly with clients, managing their day-to-day financial requirements and helping them gain greater confidence and understanding of their financial position. Responsibilities include:

• Bank reconciliations, accounts payable and receivable
• Payroll processing and PAYE/GST filing
• Monthly journals and management reporting
• Budgeting, cashflow forecasting, and funding accountability reporting
• Supporting year-end processes and audit requirements
• Reviewing bookkeeping work and providing guidance to team members
• Building strong relationships with clients and stakeholders

What You'll Bring

• Proven bookkeeping or accounting experience, ideally within a CA practice or similar environment
• Advanced Xero knowledge and experience with payroll systems
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Excellent communication and client relationship management abilities
• A proactive, solutions-focused approach
• Knowledge of Power BI would be advantageous
