Bookkeeper – BV Accountants Group Ltd

We are looking for an experienced Bookkeeper to join our friendly and busy accountancy practice in Stockport. This is a great opportunity for a detail-focused bookkeeping professional to join a well-established firm offering a varied client portfolio and genuine scope for progression.

About the role

You'll be responsible for managing day-to-day bookkeeping for a portfolio of clients across a range of sectors, ensuring accurate, up-to-date financial records and supporting the wider accounts team.

Key responsibilities

• Processing purchase and sales invoices, bank reconciliations, and VAT returns for a portfolio of clients
• Maintaining accurate client records across cloud accounting software
• Preparing management accounts information for review
• Liaising directly with clients on day-to-day bookkeeping queries
• Supporting the wider team with ad hoc administrative and finance tasks

About you

• Proven bookkeeping experience, ideally within a practice/accountancy firm environment
• Confident working across Xero, Sage, DEXT and Microsoft Office
• AAT qualified or qualified by experience
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Able to manage multiple clients and deadlines simultaneously
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

• 8.30 – 5.15 Monday to Thursday and 8.30 – 4.30 Fridays (negotiable)
• 31 days including bank holidays
• Pension scheme in line with government auto-enrolment requirements

Pay: From £30,000.00 per year
