About the role

We are Melbourne city based business advisors helping business owners do business better. We provide a range of business advisory services including business systems, bookkeeping, accounting and taxation to Small to Medium sized Enterprises (SME). The successful candidate will work in a collaborative and supportive team whilst managing client Xero files.

Key responsibilities

• Use of technology such as Hubdoc
• Managing Accounts Payable including supplier reconciliations
• Processing Payroll
• Reconciliation of bank accounts
• Reviewing and reconciling of balance sheet accounts for correctness
• Reviewing profit and loss accounts for correctness
• Preparation and lodgement of BAS and IAS returns
• Assist with the preparation of year-end financial reports to trial balance
• Preparation of client compliance related correspondence
• Ability to assist clients with one-on-one XERO support and training

About you

• Attention to detail...this is key to the role
• Ability to prioritise and manage concurrent tasks
• Technologically savvy
• Bookkeeping or accounting qualifications/experience
• Experience with Xero
• Able to develop and follow processes and procedures
• Speak fluent English and have good typing/email skills
• Committed to serving business owners and their employees to improve their businesses
• A collaborator, being open minded and empathetic towards customers and team members

Employment Conditions:

It is envisioned that this work would be on a part-time basis (15 Hours Per Week). The position will be flexible to balance both the company requirements and your family requirements. It is essential that the successful candidate has their own transport.
