We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Bookkeeper to join our dynamic finance team. Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks including data entry, journal entries, and account reconciliations using accounting software such as QuickBooks Online, Xero, Sage, or similar systems
• Process payroll accurately and timely while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards
• Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable functions to ensure timely payments and collections
• Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger accounting to maintain accurate financial records
• Assist with financial reporting, including balance sheet reconciliation and account analysis in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
• Support budgeting processes by tracking expenses and preparing financial reports for review
• Maintain detailed documentation of all transactions, ensuring adherence to accounting standards and internal controls

Skills

• Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role with a strong understanding of accounting principles and concepts
• Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks (including QuickBooks Online), Xero, Sage, or comparable systems
• Extensive knowledge of double entry bookkeeping, journal entries, account reconciliation, and bank reconciliation processes
• Familiarity with payroll processing, accounts payable/receivable management, and general ledger reconciliation
• Ability to analyze financial data using spreadsheets and other financial software tools effectively
• Knowledge of GAAP standards and technical accounting practices relevant to nonprofit or corporate environments
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently
• Effective communication skills to collaborate across teams and ensure accurate financial reporting

Pay: $25.67 - $30.92 per hour
