Bookkeeper

Spaulding Mfg., Inc. – Saginaw, MI

Spaulding Mfg., Inc. is seeking an experienced, dependable Bookkeeper to handle the day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping functions of our manufacturing company.

This position is ideal for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, comfortable working independently, and experienced with the accounting needs of a small to mid-sized business. Manufacturing experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Enter vendor invoices and customer payments
• Prepare and process customer invoices
• Reconcile bank and credit card accounts
• Maintain accurate general ledger records
• Enter and manage purchase orders
• Track vendor bills and upcoming payments
• Assist with cash requirements and payment scheduling
• Maintain vendor and customer records
• Assist with payroll-related accounting and recordkeeping
• Prepare financial reports for management
• Maintain organized accounting records and supporting documentation
• Work with our CPA/accountant as needed
• Research and correct accounting discrepancies
• Assist management with other accounting and administrative duties as needed

Qualifications

• Previous bookkeeping or accounting experience required
• Experience with Sage 50 Accounting strongly preferred
• Manufacturing bookkeeping/accounting experience preferred
• Strong understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger accounting
• Comfortable using Microsoft Excel and other basic office software
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of bookkeeping responsibilities
• Dependable, professional, and able to maintain confidentiality

About the Position

This is an in-office position at our Saginaw, Michigan manufacturing facility. You will work directly with company management and be responsible for keeping our day-to-day accounting records accurate, current, and organized.

We are looking for someone who understands that bookkeeping in a manufacturing environment can involve more than simply entering transactions. The right person will be comfortable researching discrepancies, communicating with vendors and customers, and making sure the accounting records accurately reflect what is happening in the business.

Job Type: Full-time

Schedule: Monday–Friday
