Bookkeeper

We are looking for an experienced Bookkeeper to join our team. The Bookkeeper is responsible for entering, categorizing, processing and preparing client data in a timely, friendly, and professional manner. In addition, this position will handle clean up projects for new clients, so a firm understanding of QuickBooks Online and Accounting fundamentals will be necessary to be successful in this position.

The ideal candidate holds a B.S. in Accounting (or relevant degree), or a combination of experience for equivalence. The ideal candidate also has strong attention to detail, and superb communication and organization skills. Ability to communicate and meet deadlines is crucial.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the monthly close process to deliver timely and accurate financial reporting including the preparation of monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations
• Assist with downloading of client data, file management, and processing in accounting software
• Assist with the documentation of all financial processes, workflows and forms
• Assist in providing monthly reports for client review and respond to client questions in a professional and timely manner
• Maintain accounting controls and client confidentiality

Qualifications/Skills:

• BS in Accounting, Finance or relevant degree or equivalent experience preferred
• QBO and Microsoft Excel experience required
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
• Friendly and timely communication
• Bonus points for tax accounting experience
