Job summary

We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Part-Time Bookkeeper to maintain accurate financial records and provide regular financial reports for the business. This is a primarily remote role with occasional in-person visits to our kitchen.

Job descriptions & requirements

Responsibilities:

• Record and organize daily income and expenses
• Maintain accurate petty cash records
• Track business and kitchen expenses
• Categorize transactions correctly
• Reconcile cash, bank, and POS transactions
• Review receipts and expense submissions for accuracy and completeness
• Identify and flag discrepancies or missing records
• Maintain organized financial records and supporting documents
• Prepare weekly expense and financial reports
• Prepare monthly P&L reports
• Provide basic financial information and insights to support business decisions
• Ensure bookkeeping records are consistently updated and accurate
• Daily expense information will be submitted by the kitchen team; you will be responsible for maintaining the records, reconciling transactions, and turning the information into clear weekly and monthly reports.

Requirements:

• Minimum 1–2 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience
• Experience working with small businesses is an advantage
• Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills
• Good understanding of bookkeeping and P&L preparation
• Experience with cash, bank, and POS reconciliation
• Strong numerical and analytical skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Highly organized and able to meet reporting deadlines
• Able to identify inconsistencies and follow up on missing information
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Experience with accounting/bookkeeping software is an advantage
• Must be trustworthy and able to maintain strict confidentiality of company financial information
