Bookkeeper

About the role
We are an Australian business looking for a contract bookkeeper to manage the books and follow up overdue client payments. The role is two to three days per week at an hourly rate. We prefer candidates based in Puerto Princesa who can work from our office, but will consider applicants with a suitable home office setup. Your hours must overlap with Australian (Victorian) business hours.

What you will do

• Record, code and reconcile transactions in Xero, including bank, credit card, Stripe and Square accounts
• Process supplier invoices and receipts
• Prepare payroll, Single Touch Payroll and superannuation
• Monitor overdue invoices, send reminders and call clients to follow up payment

What we need

• Bookkeeping certificate
• Bookkeeping experience with Australian companies
• Working knowledge of Xero, GST, BAS, Single Touch Payroll and superannuation
• Accounts receivable and collections experience
• Clear, professional spoken and written English
• Accurate, organised and able to meet deadlines
