Bookkeeper

About the role

This is a high-trust, detail-oriented role supporting the personal financial operations of the CEO. You will work closely and directly with leadership, handling sensitive financial matters, ensuring clarity, organization, and informed financial decision-making. This is not a high-volume bookkeeping role. It is focused on accuracy, discretion, and financial insight.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and track personal financial transactions and accounts
• Oversee bank reconciliations and expense categorization
• Monitor cashflow and provide clear financial visibility
• Support financial decision-making with insights and reporting
• Liaise with accountants and advisors where required
• Maintain organized records across banking, investments, and expenses
• Assist with tax preparation documentation (in coordination with external accountants)
• Identify opportunities for better financial structuring and efficiency

About you

• Proven experience in bookkeeping or personal finance management
• Strong understanding of Australian financial systems and compliance
• High level of discretion and confidentiality
• Ability to work independently and advise on financial decisions
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail
• Comfortable working in a low-structure, high-trust environment
• Xero proficiency
