Bookkeeper

Bookkeeping

• Maintain accurate bookkeeping records across multiple client files
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Perform bank and credit card reconciliations
• Code transactions and maintain general ledger accuracy
• Prepare BAS-ready data and support month-end reporting
• Assist with standard month-end reconciliation processes

Payroll Support

• Process payroll runs based on approved data and schedules
• Maintain employee payroll records (e.g. employee details, hours, leave balances)
• Process updates and adjustments as directed
• Lodge payroll information via Single Touch Payroll (STP) through the system
• Respond to basic payroll processing queries

Required Experience & Skills

• Solid experience in bookkeeping and payroll processing
• Strong proficiency in Xero (essential)
• Experience working with Australian clients or Australian accounting workflows
• Experience with the preparation of Australian financial statements and tax returns would be advantageous, but is not essential.
• Understanding of core bookkeeping principles and payroll processing requirements
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to manage multiple client accounts and deadlines
