Position Summary

DW Investment is seeking an experienced and highly organized Bookkeeper to oversee the day-to-day accounting functions for DW Properties and DW Development Group. This position will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records across multiple entities, supporting development and property operations, and ensuring timely financial reporting.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of accounting and bookkeeping experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced real estate environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain general ledgers for multiple companies and affiliated entities.
• Record and reconcile bank, credit card, and loan transactions.
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Prepare monthly bank reconciliations.
• Assist with monthly and year-end financial close processes.
• Prepare journal entries and supporting schedules.
• Track construction draws, development costs, and capital expenditures.
• Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules.
• Assist with payroll review and payroll-related accounting entries.
• Monitor loan balances, debt service payments, and escrow accounts.
• Coordinate with CPAs, auditors, lenders, investors, and internal team members.
• Prepare reports for ownership and management.
• Ensure accounting records comply with company policies and accepted accounting principles.
• Support annual audits, tax return preparation, and financial statement reviews.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• Extensive experience with accounting software systems.
• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting.
• Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of financial information.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
