Bookkeeper

We’re representing a well-established and growing accountancy firm based in South Belfast. Known for its friendly culture and strong client relationships, the firm works with a broad range of businesses across Northern Ireland and Ireland.

As the team continues to grow, they’re looking for an experienced Part-Time Bookkeeper to join the team. This would suit someone looking for a flexible role where they can use their bookkeeping experience within a supportive and varied environment.

About You

• Previous experience in a bookkeeping or accounts-focused role
• Strong understanding of bookkeeping processes
• Comfortable with purchase and sales ledger, reconciliations and general accounts administration
• Good attention to detail and organised approach
• Experience with accounting software such as Xero, Sage or QuickBooks would be beneficial
• Practice experience is advantageous but not essential

About Your New Role

Always

• Maintaining accurate financial records for a range of clients
• Processing purchase and sales invoices
• Bank and balance sheet reconciliations
• Managing day-to-day bookkeeping requirements
• Ensuring records are accurate and up to date

Often

• Preparing VAT returns
• Assisting with payroll and other routine accounts tasks
• Liaising with clients to obtain information and resolve queries
• Supporting the wider accounts team

Occasionally

• Assisting with month-end reporting
• Helping with year-end accounts preparation
• Supporting the team with ad hoc finance projects

Never

• Working until 7pm because someone remembered an invoice at 6:59pm
• Riding a unicycle blindfolded
