Part-Time Bookkeeper / Accounts Payable Specialist

Pay: $22–$26 per hour, based on experience

Schedule: Wednesdays and Fridays, with additional hours on Thursdays as needed

About the Position

Premier Watersports is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Part-Time Bookkeeper / Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team.

We are looking for a dependable, organized professional who is proficient in QuickBooks and can independently manage daily bookkeeping activities, accounts payable, and vendor communications.

The ideal candidate takes pride in accuracy, enjoys keeping financial records organized, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Enter invoices, expenses, deposits, and other financial transactions into QuickBooks.
• Manage accounts payable, including tracking due dates and preparing vendor payments.
• Process approved payments and maintain accurate payment records.
• Maintain vendor accounts and assist with vendor management.
• Communicate with vendors regarding invoices, statements, credits, and payment discrepancies.
• Review vendor statements and investigate billing discrepancies.
• Maintain organized financial documentation and electronic records.
• Assist with tracking accounts receivable and outstanding payments.
• Prepare basic accounts payable reports as needed.
• Coordinate with accounting personnel to resolve discrepancies.
• Assist with implementing and maintaining organized bookkeeping procedures.
• Perform other related accounting and administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required:

• Previous bookkeeping or accounts payable experience.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling financial information.

Preferred:

• Experience in marine, automotive, RV, or powersports dealerships.
• Experience with inventory-related transactions.
• Familiarity with vendor account management.
• Experience supporting accounting operations for multiple locations.
• Education: Associate degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; equivalent professional bookkeeping experience will also be considered

Schedule & Compensation

This is an on-site, part-time position based at our Knoxville dealership.

The regular schedule is Wednesday and Friday, with the possibility of additional hours on Thursdays as business needs require.

Compensation ranges from $22 to $26 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience.
