Counted LLP is an independent accountancy and tax practice providing professional financial, accounting and advisory services to businesses, charities, Community Interest Companies (CICs) and other organisations across the UK.

We work with a diverse range of clients, from sole traders, partnerships and small businesses to established companies and purpose-led organisations. Our services include accounts preparation, taxation, bookkeeping, payroll, compliance and financial advice.

This is an office-based position at our premises in Blaydon-on-Tyne, Gateshead, and is not a remote working role. Applicants must be able to commute reliably to our Blaydon office for their agreed working hours.

Duties

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero or FreeAgent
• Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions regularly to ensure consistency and accuracy, including income and expenditure analysis of projects
• Prepare financial reports, summaries, and statements for review
• Preparation of VAT returns
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial data entry
• Proficient in using accounting software and Microsoft Office suite

Skills

• Excellent attention to detail with a high level of accuracy in data entry and record keeping
• Ability to organize tasks efficiently and prioritize deadlines in a busy environment
• Good communication skills for collaborating with team members
• Knowledge of basic bookkeeping principles and accounting practices
• Ability to deal with client queries via Zoom, Teams, telephone, and email
• Ability to adapt quickly to new software tools or process updates
