We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Bookkeeper to join our dynamic finance team. Duties

• Record and reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions using accounting software such as QuickBooks Online, Xero, Sage, or similar systems
• Prepare and post journal entries accurately, ensuring adherence to GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and organizational standards
• Conduct bank reconciliations regularly to verify account balances and identify discrepancies
• Manage general ledger accounting, including ledger maintenance, account analysis, and balance sheet reconciliation
• Process payroll and ensure timely payroll reporting while maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information
• Assist with budgeting processes by tracking expenses and preparing financial reports for review
• Support non-profit or corporate accounting functions by maintaining compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulations

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role with strong knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping principles
• Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, QuickBooks Online, Xero, Sage, or equivalent financial systems
• Familiarity with spreadsheets (Excel or Google Sheets) for data analysis and report writing
• Solid understanding of financial concepts including debits & credits, journal entries, account reconciliation, and bank statement analysis
• Experience with payroll processing, accounts payable/receivable management, and general ledger reconciliation
• Knowledge of GAAP standards and experience working within public accounting or non-profit accounting environments is a plus
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively

Pay: $27.26 - $32.82 per hour
