Bookkeeper

We're looking for an ambitious, polished Bookkeeper to join our Finance Services team in Heliopolis. This is a great opportunity for a recent graduate with fluent English and a strong academic background to start a career in accounting and finance.

Key Responsibilities

• Record daily financial transactions accurately in the accounting system
• Process purchase and sales invoices, payments and reimbursements
• Maintain the general ledger and keep supporting documents organized
• Reconcile bank statements and follow up on any discrepancies
• Track receivables and payables
• Support the month-end and year-end closing processes
• Help prepare financial reports and tax documentation
• Work with other departments to make sure proper financial controls are in place

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (Commerce English Section, or graduates of AUC, GUC, BUE or similar universities preferred)
• Fresh graduates are welcome; internships in audit, financial consultancy or a Big 4 firm are a strong plus
• Fluent English, written and spoken (this is essential)
• Strong professional presence, with confidence dealing with management and clients
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
• IFRS studies completed or in progress is a plus
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel; familiarity with QuickBooks, SAP or similar software is a plus
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Quick learner, well organized and able to meet deadlines
