About the role

Bulkbuyers International is seeking a detail-oriented and organised Bookkeeper to join our Finance team in Quezon City, Metro Manila. This is a full-time position that plays a vital role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the overall financial health of our organisation. As a Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day financial transactions, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing reliable financial information to support business decision-making.

What you'll be doing

• Recording and posting financial transactions including invoices, expenses, payments, and receipts in accounting software and ledgers
• Reconciling bank statements and accounts to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies
• Preparing and maintaining financial records, journals, and subsidiary ledgers
• Processing accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
• Generating routine financial reports and statements for management review
• Assisting with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reports
• Managing petty cash and ensuring proper documentation of all cash transactions
• Responding to audit queries and providing supporting documentation as required
• Maintaining confidentiality of financial information and adhering to data protection practices
• Collaborating with other departments to resolve billing and payment issues

What we're looking for

• Diploma or certification in Bookkeeping, Accounting, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• Proven experience working as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting support role, preferably with small to medium-sized businesses
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel; familiarity with cloud-based accounting platforms is advantageous
• Strong knowledge of basic accounting principles, double-entry bookkeeping, and financial statement preparation
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to identify and correct errors
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Reliable numerical and analytical capabilities
• Professional communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team
• Familiarity with Philippine tax regulations and reporting requirements is highly desirable
• A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and upholding ethical standards in financial management
