About the role
We're looking for an organised, detail-focused Bookkeeper to keep our day-to-day finances running smoothly. You'll maintain accurate records, prepare payments and reconciliations, and support the Accounts team with month-end and year-end work.

What you'll do

• Record daily transactions and maintain purchase, sales and bank ledgers
• Process and record supplier invoices, customer receipts and staff expenses
• Prepare supplier payments and payment runs for approval, checking invoices and bank details first
• Carry out bank and supplier statement reconciliations, and resolve any discrepancies
• Track outstanding invoices, credit notes and customer balances
• Manage petty cash and check expense claims against company policy
• Support month-end, year-end and audit preparation, including basic VAT records
• Keep financial records well organised and easy to find

What we're looking for

• Experience in bookkeeping or a similar accounts role (desirable)
• A bookkeeping or accounting qualification (preferred)
• Experience with Xero, QuickBooks, Sage or similar
• Confident Excel skills
• Strong accuracy, attention to detail and time management
• A trustworthy, discreet approach to handling financial information
• The ability to work independently and follow financial controls carefully

Pay: From £25,420.00 per year
