Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our dynamic finance team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. Responsibilities

• Manage daily bookkeeping activities including data entry, journal entries, and transaction recording using accounting software such as QuickBooks Online, Xero, Sage, or Quicken
• Reconcile bank statements and perform general ledger reconciliation to ensure accuracy of financial data
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable efficiently while maintaining vendor and customer records
• Prepare financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
• Support payroll processing and ensure proper classification of debits & credits for all payroll transactions
• Conduct account analysis and account reconciliation to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly
• Assist with budgeting, financial report writing, and maintaining compliance with accounting standards for nonprofit or corporate entities

Requirements

• Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role with familiarity in double-entry bookkeeping principles
• Strong proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks (including QuickBooks Online), Xero, Sage, or Quicken
• Solid understanding of financial concepts including journal entries, bank reconciliation, general ledger accounting, and account analysis
• Experience with payroll processing, accounts payable/receivable management, and financial report preparation
• Knowledge of GAAP standards and experience working within corporate or nonprofit accounting environments
• Excellent spreadsheet skills using Microsoft Excel or similar tools for data analysis and reporting
• Ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced setting while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail

Pay: $29.16 - $35.12 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
