Bookkeeper – Job Description

We are looking for an organized and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to manage daily financial and administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Answer incoming phone calls.
• Track payments and assist with collections.
• Submit payments in Houston for certified payroll projects.
• Handle notarization of documents.
• Track and maintain employee work hours.
• Reconcile accounts and maintain accurate financial records.
• Prepare and file sales and franchise taxes.

Skills

• Extensive experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks (including QuickBooks Online).
• Strong knowledge of corporate accounting principles, GAAP standards, and non-profit accounting practices.
• Proficiency in spreadsheets (Excel or Google Sheets) for data entry, analysis, and report generation.
• Skilled in bank reconciliation, account reconciliation, journal entries, and general ledger management.
• Ability to process payroll accurately while adhering to relevant legal regulations.
• Familiarity with financial concepts such as debits & credits, account analysis, budgeting, and double entry bookkeeping.
• Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills; capable of managing multiple tasks efficiently.
