Job Overview

We’re looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will take ownership of client financials within QuickBooks Online (QBO) — managing day-to-day transactions, ensuring accuracy, and preparation of financial statements.

This is a part-time role to start, with an opportunity to move to full-time.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date client books primarily in QuickBooks Online.
• Record and reconcile transactions across accounts payable, accounts receivable, and banking.
• Perform bank and credit card reconciliations and review accounts regularly for accuracy.
• Assist in payroll preparation and record keeping
• Generate monthly financial statements for client review.
• Collaborate with our Fractional CFO team to provide clean, timely, and well-organized data.
• Prepare HST filings
• Support clients with QuickBooks Online setup, cleanup, and optimization.
• Maintain compliance with accounting best practices and relevant financial regulations.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or Accounting Technician, ideally in a client-service setting.
• Strong proficiency in QuickBooks Online — including reconciliations, journal entries, and reporting.
• Experience managing multiple client files simultaneously with high attention to detail.
• Familiarity with payroll processing and Canadian compliance requirements is an asset.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Self-motivated and comfortable working independently in a remote or hybrid environment.
• Diploma or degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.

Pay: $22.50 - $31.80 per hour
