Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using accounting software such as QuickBooks Online, Xero, Sage, or similar systems
• Process payroll and handle payroll-related transactions in compliance with relevant regulations
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable to ensure timely payments and collections
• Reconcile bank statements, general ledger accounts, and balance sheets regularly to ensure data accuracy
• Prepare journal entries, perform account analysis, and conduct general ledger reconciliation following GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) standards
• Assist in budgeting processes and prepare financial reports that support organizational decision-making
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and maintain thorough documentation of all financial transactions

Requirements

• Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role within corporate or non-profit sectors
• Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks (including QuickBooks Online), Xero, Sage, or comparable systems
• Strong understanding of double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, journal entries, and account reconciliation processes
• Knowledge of financial concepts including GAAP standards, balance sheet reconciliation, and general ledger accounting
• Experience with payroll processing, accounts payable/receivable management, and bank reconciliation procedures
• Excellent skills in spreadsheets and financial report writing to support accurate recordkeeping and analysis
• Ability to interpret financial data accurately and communicate findings clearly

Pay: $28.66 - $34.52 per hour
