Bookkeeper

About This Role

We’re looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Part-Time Bookkeeper to join our Seminole store. As a local flooring and remodeling company, we value people who take pride in their work, communicate well, and help keep our business running smoothly.

You’ll handle day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting functions, working closely with our team and outside accountant. We use RFMS software and will provide training—prior RFMS experience is not required.

What You'll Do

• Perform daily bookkeeping and accounting functions, keeping financial records accurate and organized.
• Manage accounts payable, including reviewing invoices and processing payments.
• Prepare and process payroll accurately and on time.
• Calculate and process installer and subcontractor payments.
• Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and vendor statements.
• Assist our accountant with month-end close, tax preparation, and supporting documentation.
• Research discrepancies and help resolve billing or payment questions.
• Maintain confidential employee, vendor, and financial information.

Requirements

• Previous bookkeeping or accounting experience.
• Familiarity with accounts payable, payroll, and account reconciliations.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through.
• Comfortable using Excel, entering data, and learning new software.
• Ability to manage deadlines and work independently.
• Clear communication skills and a professional, dependable approach.
• Availability to work part time, on site at our Seminole store.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of flooring, remodeling, construction, or a similar business.
• Familiarity with installer or subcontractor payments and job costing.
• Experience supporting month-end close and preparing records for an outside accountant.
• Knowledge of sales tax reporting and 1099 preparation.
• RFMS experience is a plus, but we’re happy to train the right person.
