Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Bookkeeper to join our dynamic finance team. Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate general ledger accounting by recording journal entries, reconciling accounts, and ensuring adherence to GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and accounting standards.
• Process payroll accurately and efficiently, including deductions, benefits, and compliance with relevant regulations.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections while verifying invoice accuracy.
• Conduct bank reconciliations regularly to verify account balances and identify discrepancies promptly.
• Utilize various financial software such as QuickBooks Online, Xero, Sage, and other accounting systems to record transactions and generate reports.
• Prepare financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements for internal review and external reporting needs.
• Support budgeting processes through account analysis, expense tracking, and financial data organization to aid strategic planning.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role with a strong understanding of double-entry bookkeeping principles.
• Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks (including QuickBooks Online), Xero, Sage, and other financial software tools.
• Solid knowledge of GAAP standards, general ledger reconciliation, bank reconciliation, account analysis, and journal entries.
• Experience with payroll processing, accounts payable/receivable management, and account reconciliation procedures.
• Strong skills in spreadsheets (Excel or Google Sheets) for data analysis and report writing.
• Familiarity with public accounting practices or non-profit accounting is a plus but not required.
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to perform balance sheet reconciliation accurately and efficiently.
• Knowledge of budgeting techniques and financial concepts necessary for effective account analysis.

Pay: $27.31 - $32.89 per hour
