Duties

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for all managed properties using accounting software such as QuickBooks Online, Xero, Sage, or similar systems
• Process accounts payable and receivable transactions promptly, ensuring timely payments and collections
• Reconcile bank statements and perform general ledger reconciliation to verify accuracy of financial data
• Prepare journal entries, ledger adjustments, and account analysis in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and organizational standards
• Manage payroll processing for property staff and contractors, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations
• Generate detailed financial reports including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements for internal review and external reporting
• Conduct regular account reconciliation procedures such as bank reconciliation, accounts receivable aging analysis, and accounts payable review to identify discrepancies and resolve issues efficiently

Requirements

• Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting within property management, corporate accounting, or non-profit accounting environments
• Strong proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks (including QuickBooks Online), Xero, Sage, or similar platforms
• Extensive knowledge of double entry bookkeeping, journal entries, debits & credits, and general ledger accounting practices
• Familiarity with financial concepts including balance sheet reconciliation, account analysis, budgeting, and financial report writing
• Ability to perform bank reconciliations accurately and efficiently using spreadsheets or dedicated accounting systems
• Experience in payroll processing and managing accounts payable/receivable workflows
• Understanding of GAAP standards and accounting regulations applicable to property management or corporate finance
• Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills; ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining accuracy

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
