Bookkeeper

About the role

Corporate Administration Services is seeking to hire a bookkeeper to join our small Brisbane CBD accounting team on a part-time basis. The ideal applicant will have working experience with MYOB accounting software (and also Xero, but not crucial) and be willing to "get their hands dirty" with day-to-day accounting and administration issues. We prepare accounts for 3-5 small/medium sized clients.

Key responsibilities

• Accounts payable and invoice coding
• Bank, general ledger, credit card, petty cash reconciliations
• Excel spreadsheet reconciliations
• PAYG
• BAS preparation
• Payroll & superannuation
• Support accountant and financial controller as required

About you

• Experience in bookkeeping and admin roles
• Minimum 1-2 years of bookkeeping experience required
• Highly proficient in MYOB (and Xero) and Excel
• Proficient in Word, Outlook, PowerPoint
• Attention to detail, data entry accuracy
• Able to work well without direction / autonomously
• Australian work authorisation required

Corporate Administration Services is a small 3-4 person team supporting CFO and CoSec to ASX listed (junior exploration) companies.

• Flexible work days and hours if required (to fit around university/childcare/school commitments), with preference for at least 2 workdays alongside existing accountants
• Initial training to familiarise yourself with the role and tasks, by experienced accountant and financial controller
• Role available to start ASAP, with ability to work most of the upcoming Dec-Feb holiday period
• Encouragement and support to develop skill-sets to take on accountant and/or financial controller work
