What they need
Bookkeeper | Humble Crumble
London | Full-time | £32,000-£35,000
We’re looking for a brilliant bookkeeper. Humble Crumble is the world's first crumble bakery in London, and we’re growing fast. We’re looking for a bookkeeper to keep our numbers clean, current and easy to act on across all our sites. You’ll also look after the books for Chai Guys, a separate chai business co-founded by our CEO. This is a key role for us, as you’ll be responsible for ensuring we have the information we need to make good decisions as we grow.
What you'll be doing
- Day-to-day bookkeeping for both businesses
- Processing supplier invoices and managing payment runs
- Bank, card and EPOS reconciliations across multiple sites
- Tracking sales, wholesale accounts and payments received
- Preparing month-end and supporting management accounts
- Supporting payroll and liaising with our payroll provider
- Preparing VAT returns and working with our external accountants
- Keeping intercompany transactions clear and properly recorded
What we're looking for
- Solid bookkeeping experience, ideally in hospitality, retail or food and drink
- Confident handling more than one set of books at once
- Strong with Xero and Dext
- AAT qualified or equivalent experience (3-5 years)
- Organised and accurate, with a sharp eye for detail
- Comfortable asking questions and explaining the numbers in plain English
Why join us
- Work closely with the founders on two independent, ambitious brands
- Real ownership and the chance to shape how our finance processes run
- Private medical insurance
- Free crumble, chai and pastries
- Central London office, with some flexibility to WFH
Pay: £32,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
Benefits:
- Employee discount
- Enhanced maternity leave
- Private medical insurance
